On 29th November, the UK Competition Commission announced that it has formally cleared the acquisition of Air Products' European Methylamines and Derivatives business (EM&D) by Taminco.

Amsterdam, 6 August 2003 - NIB Capital Private Equity and UCB, a Belgian listed pharmaceutical and specialty chemicals company, have agreed on the acquisition by NIB Capital Private Equity of the global Methylamines & Derivatives business of UCB for EUR 115 million.
Ghent, April 1, 2003 - Taminco increases the price of all methylamines and main derivatives sold world-wide by € 0.10/kg, effective as of April 1st or as contracts allow.
