Dear Customer,
As you are well aware, we are working in a very dynamic business environment. Like all chemical manufacturers, we at Taminco are experiencing increase after increase in energy, raw material and transportation costs, with no end in sight. We are doing all that we can to control overall costs and mitigate the impact of these increases on our customers. However, we are in a situation where we must take necessary steps to partially compensate for our higher costs.

In May of this year Taminco has planned a major shutdown in its European production units. The shutdown, necessary for maintenance and general check ups, will impact all methylamines and derivatives in Gent and the production of Dimethylformamide in Leuna for a period of approximately 6 weeks. As a result, Taminco's supply situation on Methylamines and Derivatives will be tight during Q2.
Nevertheless, we will focus highly on security of supply in order to be able to continue serving all our customers without any delays or interruptions. Stock levels have been increased significantly during Q1, in spite of extremely high feedstock costs, and our logistics and planning experts are constantly monitoring the daily evolution.
Methylamines & Derivatives price levels for Q2 will be determined in accordance with the general feedstock and logistic cost situation and overall availability.
In case you have specific questions related to our shutdown, do not hesitate to contact your usual Taminco Sales contact.
