Back in April Taminco announced its intention to acquire the European Methylamines & Derivatives business of Air Products, excluding the Billingham plant.  The agreement was, of course, subject to regulatory approvals.

We are pleased to inform you that all the relevant regulatory approvals have now been obtained, and Taminco has now acquired this business from Air Products, effective from Wednesday December 15, 2004.  This acquisition reinforces Taminco’s long term commitment to the Methylamines & Derivatives marketplace.

Taminco is committed to continued investment to maintain a long term successful business in order to support our customers and other stakeholders.  We are equally committed to the highest possible levels of customer care and we look forward to working with all our customers, both new and old, in a spirit of long term co-operation.

Following the regulatory approvals, Air Products and Taminco have been working together to ensure a smooth transition.  All existing contracts which you may have with the former Air Products business will now be assigned to Taminco under the same terms and conditions as before.  During this transitional period all orders which have already been placed with Air Products for shipment after December 14, as well as any orders which are placed with Air Products after Friday December 10, will be transferred to Taminco and will be fulfilled and invoiced by Taminco.
