Our Amietol ® M12 (MDEA) can be used as an extraction solvent for gas sweetening applications. Acidic compounds like H₂S, COS, CO₂ can be effectively removed in a so called amine unit. These units find their application in refineries, ammonia plants, natural gas plants, etc. Amietol ® M12 is also used as precursor for fabric softeners, the so called esterquats.
