MMDC (methylammoniummethyldithiocarbamate) can used as intermediate for the synthesis of MMA-based dithiocarbamates, like metam sodium, metam potassium or dazomet. Using the MMDC intermediate, avoids the use of monomethylamine as raw material, a product which is more difficult to handle.
