DNBA is used to produce dibutyl thiocarbamates which are employed as accelerators in the rubber chemical industries.  Dibutylamine is a key intermediate in the synthesis of the Carbosulfan insecticide.   DNBA is also used as a corrosion inhibitor, and as an intermediate/catalyst in pharmaceutical, plastics, resins, and insecticides markets.
