TEA - triethylamine

TEA has multiple uses as an organic base in the preparation of quaternary ammonium products.  TEA is commonly used a catalyst in the making of foundry sand molds, phenolic resins, polycarbonates, polyesters, and engineered plastics.  Triethylamine has a variety of pharmaceutical applications where it is used as an extraction solvent. TEA is also used in the synthesis of pesticides, pharmaceuticals, paints and coatings, and corrosion inhibitors.
