Prevention of corrosion in boiler water systems is essential to the maintenance of the equipment.  DEAE and DMA-2P are excellent corrosion inhibitors for this application providing corrosion protection in both the vapor and liquid phase of the system.

Corrosion of steel and other metals by dissolved oxygen plaques the water treatment industry.  For many applications, water is heated which may accelerate corrosion if dissolved oxygen is present.  DEHA is effective in removing dissolved oxygen to the parts-per-billion level (µg/l) thus slowing or eliminating pitting corrosion altogether.  In addition, DEHA is also capable of producing an adherent protective oxide film on ferrous-based metals, magnetite, which offers enhanced corrosion protection.
