| No more plastic cups at Taminco Ghent |

In 2008 about 9800 tons of waste was produced at the Ghent site and disposed of externally (mostly by incineration). Although the disposable plastic water and coffee cups constitute just a small part of this sizeable mountain of waste, the decision was taken to replaced all cups by a 'sustainable' T-CARE glass and mug.
This will save on approximately 180 000 disposable water cups (coffee cups not even included)!
As a symbol of this 'sustainable' intervention, one of our co-workers made an artwork of disposable plastic cups, portraying the Taminco molecule and representing the amount of cups consumed in 1 day at the Ghent site. |
