No more plastic cups at Taminco Ghent

In 2008 about 9800 tons of waste was produced at the Ghent site and disposed of externally (mostly by incineration). Although the disposable plastic water and coffee cups constitute just a small part of this sizeable mountain of waste, the decision was taken to replaced all cups by a 'sustainable' T-CARE glass and mug. ยต

This will save on approximately 180 000 disposable water cups (coffee cups not even included)!

Taminco's molecule made out of plastic cups

As a symbol of this 'sustainable' intervention, one of our co-workers made an artwork of disposable plastic cups, portraying the Taminco molecule and representing the amount of cups consumed in 1 day at the Ghent site.
