Brussels, March 2003:The Cefic's Methylamines and Derivatives sector group has decided to join the Petrochemistry Programme. The Group, previously part of the Cefic Product Stewardship programme, is chaired by Guy Wouters, Global Business Manager Methylamines, WTS & Solvents of Taminco and brings together producers of methylamines and its derivatives in Western Europe. Methylamines are chemical intermediates used in a wide variety of applications, such as detergents, agrochemicals, feed additives, pharmaceuticals, solvents, pulp & paper processing, and flocculetns. As well as the three methylamines MMA (monomethylamine), DMA (dimethylamine) and TMA (trimethylamine), the sector group also gives support to first-degree derivatives most notably choline chloride. The Group will be managed by Graeme Wallace, who has responsibility for developing synergies with the Methanol and Amines group. source: Cefic, APPE Brief, Issue 4, March 2003 For further information, please contact This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it , Taminco or This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it , Cefic |
