Leuna, July 2003

On July 2nd 2003, Taminco GmbH (Leuna) reached a period of thousand days without an occupational accident. This is achieved with the co-operation of the total work force, based on a multi-level safety approach. General awareness concerning personal protective equipment, near-miss reporting and up-front hazard analysis increased the over-all safety level of the plant. During this period, large investments were made in the plant and despite the high construction activity, the 'zero accidents' performance was maintained.
