Foliar fungicides

Taminco has three dithiocarbamate fungicides - Thiram, Ziram and Ferbam - that are used to protect different types of fruit and vegetables against fungal diseases.

These three products have a long-proven, broad-spectrum activity against main diseases such as botrytis, and are used as contact fungicides to provide protection to the plant by shielding leaves from attack by fungi spores.

As there is no systemic action, meaning that the product does not enter into the juices of the plant, food safety is guaranteed.

Taminco has several formulations for these products ranging from WP (wettable powder), SC (suspension concentrate) and the renowned WG- (water dispersible granules or Granuflo-technology). Taminco has full regulatory and data packages for these products and has registrations in more than 50 countries around the globe.

Taminco also successfully developed Banguard® for the management of the most devastating disease affecting the banana industry: Black Sigatoka. Banguard® is a protective and non-systemic fungicide, which contains the active ingredient of Thiram (420 g of thiram/liter).

  • Applications

The three dithiocarbamate fungicides are used to protect fruit (pome fruit, stone fruit, berries, bananas) and tropical crops against fungal diseases. They are used to combat scab, alternaria, phytophtora and stemphylium. The products are used as contact fungicides and provide protection to plants by shielding leaves from attack by fungi spores.
