Seed treatment

Plant protection starts from the very beginning: the seed. The valuable seed and the early germs are vulnerable to soil-borne diseases.

Taminco's Thiram is used in seed treatment to give a broad spectrum protection in the early stages of growth. Through its multi-modal action, Thiram is known as a resistance breaker for diseases where systemic fungicides fail.

Taminco has a proprietary formulation FLOWSAN® for seed treatment on corn. In combination with other active ingredients it is also used for cereals, vegetables, oil seed rape, sunflowers, soy beans, etc.

Applications

Both Thiram and FLOWSAN are used to protect plants from soil-borne diseases, at the vulnerable seed and early germination stage.  Besides being used for corn seed, FLOWSAN is also used in combination with other active ingredients for cereals, vegetables, oil seed rape, sunflowers and soy beans.
