Taminco was yesterday voted Onderneming van het Jaar 2010 (Entrepreneur of the Year) in the Flanders region of Belgium.  This 16th edition of the “Onderneming van het Jaar 2010” award was organised by Ernst & Young in collaboration with De Tijd and BNP Paribas Fortis. The award was presented by Belgian Prime Minister Yves Leterme to Taminco’s Chairman of the Board, Pol Vanderhaeghen at an awards ceremony in Brussels last night.

In spite of fierce competition from the other two finalists it was Taminco who, thanks to our focus on sustainable growth, our clear Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives and our global expansion, ultimately won the confidence of the jury and walked off with the prestigious prize. 

Being voted “Onderneming van het Jaar 2010” is not only a fine recognition of the collective achievements of our 800 employees worldwide but is a symbol of what is to come as we continue to expand into new markets and increase our innovative, sustainable product line.
