As a result of the recently announced settlement of the European Methanol Contract Price at a record high level, Taminco will start invoicing a temporary methanol surcharge for its Methylamines and Derivatives as from January 1st 2006:

• Methylamines : + 70 Euro/MT (in 100 %)
• DMF : + 45 Euro/MT
• DMAC : + 40 Euro/MT
• NMP : + 20 Euro/MT
• Alkylalkanolamines : + 20 Euro/MT
• Choline Chloride : + 40 Euro/MT

This surcharge will be implemented on top of the earlier announced price increases for the 1st quarter of 2006 covering other rising feedstock prices and high energy costs. Considering the significant impact of the overall cost increases, Taminco is forced to adapt its price policy accordingly as it is impossible to continue absorbing the effects.
