| Taminco launches Banguard at Acorbat |
At Acorbat, the most important banana industry event in the world (in Guayaquil, Ecuador), Taminco/FMC had the excellent opportunity to introduce Banguard - one of Taminco’s new fungicides - to potential customers, and to develop our business relationships with the banana growers.
Taminco developed Banguard as a specific product for aerial spray to control Black Sigatoka on banana. This is important news for the banana grower as there is a desperate need for new chemistries for sound disease and resistance management. Participating and launching Banguard at the Acorbat event is one of the greater achievements for Taminco Life Sciences. On Wednesday, Dr. Emily Fabregar from Lapanday presented her results of aerial spray of Banguard WG for the control of Black Sigatoka in the Philippines. In the hallway Taminco and FMC were present with a Banguard poster. On Thursday, a meeting was organized by Taminco/FMC where Mr. Alex Kroneberg officially presented the product, Banguard 42 SC.
