Choline chloride is already marketed for a long time as a by-product of the production of methylamines. It is an essential vitamin, which is added to the feed of a lot of production animals such as chickens and pigs. The past five years Taminco mainly focused on the production and sale of liquid choline chloride solution and became one of the leaders in the world market.
