Taminco Board of Directors appoints Laurent Lenoir to succeed Pol Vanderhaeghen as CEO in Jan 2010

Taminco - The Amine Company - the highly focused and global producer of alkylamines and their derivatives, announces an important and well-prepared transition of its leadership. Pol Vanderhaeghen will retire as CEO of Taminco on January 1st, 2010. Pol Vanderhaeghen has been the Chairman of the Executive Committee since the foundation of Taminco in 2003. Prior to that he worked for almost 30 years at UCB, the former parent company of Taminco, where he held several senior management positions. Under his vision and leadership Taminco has realized a successful and remarkable growth strategy and is well prepared to build a sustainable future. Pol Vanderhaeghen will continue as director and future Chairman of the Board, and in this new role remains fully committed to the future strategy and success of Taminco.

The Board of Directors has appointed Laurent Lenoir, currently Vice-President of the Business Unit Methylamines & Derivatives and member of Taminco’s Executive Committee, to succeed Pol Vanderhaeghen as Chief Executive Officer on January 1st, 2010.

Laurent Lenoir (43) holds a Master degree in Agronomy (Engineering) and has almost 20 years of industry experience. He held several management positions at UCB, first in the Agrosciences Division successively as Technical & Sales Representative for France, Global Technical & Regulatory Manager and later as Sales & Marketing Manager Europe. He also held regional management positions for Taminco in Malaysia and China, developing the Methylamines & Derivatives business in Asia.
