In some applications (like the production of LNG ) it may be necessary to remove the CO2, down to a very low level, in addition to the classical H2S removal. The formulation of Activated Amietol® M12 has been designed for such applications. This MDEA -based formulation will have the full benefits of MDEA , but in addition excellent CO2 removal is possible. A level of, for example, 20 ppm residual CO2 or even lower can be reached with Activated Amietol® M12, which is impossible to achieve with the classical amines such as MEA or DEA . |
