| Taminco plants trees to help maintain the ecological balance |
|
A successful tree-planting activity carried out in the Philippines in 2009 has inspired other Taminco offices and sites to follow suit and help maintain the ecological balance.
In the first round of tree planting, employees of Taminco Philippines, together with their local distributors and customers, planted 100 trees in La Mesa Watershed, the last forest of its size within Metro Manila. La Mesa Watershed is the transit point of water coming from three other watersheds; the water for Metro Manila is filtered there and treated before distribution to 14 million people.
Following the success of this activity, Taminco India carried out a similar project in its region.
Taminco Philippines will undertake further tree-planting activities in February 201, this time involving children from local schools to raise environmental awareness. Watch this space for more updates.
